fanlisting;

According to TFL, a fanlisting is "a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject.". So, it's just exactly what it says: a list of fans. Maybe you think it isn't a specially useful thing... But isn't something good showing to the world your devotion and love for a determinate character, actor, book or whatever? So, this is what you do when you join a fanlisting. And, of course, you can always have the chance to meet other people who like the same you do... and that's always a great thing :)

If you're interested in knowing still more about the fanlistings, check any of both fanlisting networks for more information: The Fanlistings Network / The Anime Fanlistings Network

why;

I loved Moody since the very first moment he appeared in GoF... I simply was sure he would be a great character just by reading his description. He was so... different from all the characters we had seen in the books before, I guess it's because he has that gloomy, dark touch, and still, he's one of the good guys... something unusual I guess (and no, Snape doesn't count here because he has some dark points in his past, you know). Besides, we can't deny he has a... rather odd personality *coughs* But he's made me laugh so much, really (ah, that priceless scene of the bouncing, snowy white ferret *giggles*). And well, if after the first DADA class Harry and the others thought he was amazing (a bit weird, yet an amazing teacher with a really different point of view/teaching style), who am I to disagree with them? ;) I couldn't help but think Moody was cool even when there was something unclear about him... no, I didn't think he could be a fake or a traitor, but I had the slight feeling that something wrong was going on with him, at least after certain point of the plot. I wasn't expecting what happened in the end, though... and I'm sure very few people was waiting for OotP to know more about the real Moody as much as I did :)

Like half of the planet, I'm in love with professor Lupin, I must admit it :P But though he is my fav HP character, Mad-Eye is, and will always be, a reallyreallyclose second. I know he's a minor character and all, but I like him so, so much. I can't wait to see him in the GoF movie (hey, I've been checking several HP websites DAILY since January, hoping to see the first movie!Moody picture) and I'd love to know more about him in the 6th and 7th books if possible... where and how did he lose his leg, or get his magical eye; how did he get to take part in the Order of the Phoenix... well, to know his background story, in general. But I'm afraid we'll never know, unless Jo decides to publish some kind of character files' book after she's finished with the series... but this is something she will NOT do, from what I know, so :(

And how and why did I get this fanlisting, you ask? Well, I discovered TFL shortly after reading GoF, and well, I simply went to check if there was a Moody fanlisting already... my intention was to join it, and I was so shocked to see that there wasn't a fanlisting for him that I decided to apply for it myself. I was approved to build it and the site went online in late-December 2002. At first I didn't get many members, but the fanlisting started to grow significantly after OotP was published. Now it's fairly popular, and I'm sure it will get LOTS of new members because of HBP, and also (specially) after the GoF movie comes out. I'm really proud to have owned this site for that long, and though I don't have it as I'd like to, my intention is to make several major changes soon, turning it into a good Mad-Eye fansite. Because as far as I know, there isn't any... yet.

The scripts this site uses are Enthusiast (by Angela) to manage the fanlisting and NL-PHPmail (by Sasha) for the contact form.

The fonts I've used in the site are Georgia (for the text) and AucoinExBold (for the menu & layout titles)

As I've said in the disclaimer at the bottom of the main page, the image used to make the layout is © Mary Grandpré and it appeared in the american GoF edition. And as for the site title... do you really need to know why did I name the site "Constant Vigilance!"? Because in that case I think I don't understand what are you doing here... *blinks*
