Matt LeBlanc basic facts
Matt LeBlanc was born the 25th July 1967 in Newton, Massachussets,
USA. He's married with Melissa McKnight since 3rd May 2003,
and they have a child.
When he was a kid, he wasn't very interested in acting -
he preferred motorcycling, something in which he's still really
interested (he even hosted his own TV show, The 5 Coolest
Things, based on the 5 coolest things in each motorcycle
specialty - off-road, motocross, road racing, freestyle).
After receiving his first motorcycle when he was 8, Matt started
participating in several amateur competitions hoping to race
professionally. However, his mother forced him to find a different
outlet for his talents, so he trained for a career in carpentry,
but aspired to incorporate artistic elements to it.
After graduating from Newton North Hig School (1985), he
set his sights on making a life for himself in New York City.
By 1987, LeBlanc had obtained parts in national television
commercials for such products as Levi's 501 jeans, Coca-Cola,
and Doritos. He also was in a Heinz catsup spot that won the
prestigious Gold Lion Award at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival.
In 1988, Matt started formal acting training, and his first
TV appearance was in the show TV 101.
