fanlisting?According to TFL, a fanlisting is "a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject.". So, it's just exactly what it says: a list of fans. Maybe you think it isn't a specially useful thing... But isn't something good showing to the world your devotion and love for a determinate character, actor, book or whatever? So, this is what you do when you join a fanlisting. And, of course, you can always have the chance to meet other people who like the same you do... and that's always a great thing :) If you're interested in knowing still more about the fanlistings, check any of both fanlisting networks for more information: The Fanlistings Network / The Anime Fanlistings Network Why Ifrit?Ifrit has always been my favorite summon from the Final Fantasy series, for so many reasons. He's a powerful ally, extremely strong and dangerous, but loyal and harmless to those who are on his side (we just must see how he treats Yuna when she summons him in FFX: even when Ifrit is so full of rage and power that he could hurt her easily, he does his best to be careful with her to avoid that ^^;). He's the fire summon, and I've always been fascinated by fire, I don't know exactly why (I tend to use fire magic when playing a RPG, more than ice or bolt magic for example ^^). I love the character's design too... My fav version is maybe the one from FFX (very smiliar also to Ifrit's design in FFVIII, actually), because his face looks a little like a lion, and I *love* felines, I can't help it; though I will always have a thing for the FFVII Ifrit, the first one I ever saw. The first time I summoned him I was speechless, watching him breaking the ground, screaming and roaring like a beast out of control, his mouth spitting out fire. I thought it was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen in a game... and though now the game looks obviously a little old, I don't care: I still love it like I did the first day ^^; The site is named Hellfire because this is the name of Ifrit's special attack in most of the FF games (and his overdrive in FFX). I couldn't think of a better name, but I think this is the best one, anyway ^_~ If you're a fan of Ifrit as well, please join the list! LayoutThis first layout is based on the FFVIII Ifrit, mainly because I think this pic is amazing and I wanted to use it ^^ The title & menu font is a free one called Creature, I don't remember where I found it but I'm sure you can find it easily if you're interested. I haven't used any brushes, but to make some effects in the background I used a texture from 1GreenEye :) |
